1 Common Caribbean Sea Fan (Gorgonia ventalina) 6.75" x 5.25" paper
Dreaming beneath the silvery Caribbean waves, a garden of delicate sea fans sways with the tide as tiny fish shimmer between them, and the moon pulls their intricate limbs to and fro. While they may appear to be a single being, sea fans are a colony of tiny polyps, among the order of soft corals which keep reefs healthy and teeming with life.
Our Sea Fan specimen is true to its colors in life, which vanish and fade when they are brought to the surface and dried, the tiny colorful polyps evaporating like ghosts. We are delighted to give life in paper to their truest form, intricately cut like a piece of mermaid lace from the heart of the Sargasso Sea. Double-sided on pearlescent heavy weight card stock.
Specimens in the Wunderkammer Ornament series come on a beautiful 5.5" x 8.5" backing, perfect for safe keeping or as a lovely gift! Resin safe.
